Police: Diamond Ring Goes Missing, Pumpkin Smasher Wrecks Property

Halloween criminal mischief incidents and more


The following incidents that occurred next door in Red Bank are being investigated by police:


• A two-carat, round-cut, platinum diamond engagement ring has been reported as lost/missing. The victim reported to police on Oct. 25 that the ring was among jewelry that was brought into an East Front Street jewelry store to be cleaned; and, upon picking it up, the ring was missing from the bag. Patrolman Paul Perez took the report.

• An incident of criminal mischief was reported on Oct. 31. Patrolman Garret Falco reported that a vehicle on Herbert Street was vandalized by having toilet paper and plastic wrap stuck to the car.

• An incident of criminal mischief was reported to have occurred sometime between Oct. 30 and 31 at a Maple Avenue business. The business owner reported that someone threw a pumpkin at the business sign, damaging a portion of it. Patrolman Paul Perez took the report.
