Police: Computer, Cash, Cigarettes Stolen from Cars Parked in Area

Several items went missing from parked cars.


Police are investigating the following thefts that occurred next door in Red Bank from Oct. 17 to 19:


• The theft of a laptop computer, Verizon Wireless air card and a day planner from a car parked on Bridge Avenue was reported on Oct. 17. The victim reported that someone smashed her car window with a brick and stole the belongings from it. Patrolman Paul Perez took the report.

• The theft of coins from the center console of a car parked on Locust Avenue was reported on Oct. 19. Patrolman Jhonatan Quispe took the report.

• The theft of cash and a pack of cigarettes from a car towed from Central Avenue was reported on Oct. 19. The victim reported that his vehicle was towed and when he went to retrieve it from the tow yard, the items were missing. Patrolman Stan Balmer took the report.
