Police: Cigar Thieves, Car Scratchers on the Loose
Police are investigating incidents of criminal mischief and shoplifting nearby.
Next door in Red Bank, police reported the following incidents of criminal mischief and shoplifting:
• An incident of criminal mischief was reported on Sept. 30 on South Street. The victim reported that someone scratched words into side of parked vehicle with sharp implement. Patrolwoman Heather Pubylski took the report.
• An incident of criminal mischief was reported to have occurred sometime between Sept. 28 and 29 on Mechanic Street. Someone keyed the side of a parked vehicle. Lt. Michael Clay took the report.
• Two men were reported to have shoplifted five cigars from a case in a Wallace Street cigar store. Patrolman Gary Watson took report.
