Nixing Overnight Parking in Fair Haven

If you've been keeping your car parked in the street overnight in Fair Haven, now is the time to put the kibosh on that habit.

Starting today, police announced via the Fair Haven PBA Facebook page, there will be no overnight street parking, from 2 to 5 a.m., allowed.

Until today, Nov. 1, officers were issuing warnings only. Now ticketing will begin.

"Exceptions will be made for certain circumstances," the post said. "For instance, if your driveway is having work done or you have guests staying at your home ...

"If you need to have a vehicle(s) parked in the street. Please contact the Police Department and request to be put on the overnight parking list."
