When a naked man allegedly started a fight at a Red Bank cleaners and
threatened to kill the officer trying to arrest him, he ended up in
Red Bank police were called to the scene at about 1 p.m.
Aug. 12 when an allegedly nude John E. Jones, of 131 Sixth Ave., Long
Branch, became belligerent and started fighting with people in the
cleaners, making them feel threatened, according to the complaint
police arrived and attempted to calm and arrest Jones, he allegedly
resisted arrest by using violent physical force against the arresting
officer and using a verbal threat.
Jones was charged with
disorderly conduct, resisting arrest by using physical force and
violence against an officer and terroristic threats.
He was held on a total of $30,500 bail with no 10 percent option, set by Judge William Himelman.
A court date was set for Aug. 15 at 8:30 a.m. in Red Bank Municipal Court.
