Fair Haven Police Blotter: Bike Theft, Aggravated Assault, Fraud

The round-up includes the arrests of two young men who are facing charges of aggravated assault.

  • A River Road resident reported that someone had tampered with the locks on his storage shed. 
  • Matthew Robertson, 21, of Rumson was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a handgun, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possessing a weapon for an unlawful purpose and a borough ordinance violation for discharging a firearm. Robertson was released pending a court appearance after posting $125,000 full cash bail. Cpl. John Waltz was the arresting officer
  • Michael Robertson, 22, of Rumson was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Robertson was released pending a court appearance after posting $10,000 full cash bail. Special Officer A. Murray was the arresting officer.

A Lincoln Ave resident reported that someone had entered two unlocked vehicles at the residence and stolen several items.

A River Road business reported sending money to an unknown person who presented themselves as an employee of JCP&L. The bill was determined to be fictitious.
