Fair Haven Police Blotter: Bad Checks and a Stolen Mailbox

Other incidents reported on the blotter for December include an unwanted exposure and shoplifting.

Urns, signs, mailboxes and bicycles were all reported stolen in Fair Haven last month according to the December police blotter.

The reports prepared by also listed a case of unwanted exposure and a few bad checks.

Below are the reported incidents from the released on January 9 for the month of December. These reports are unedited:

12/1/11

-Grange Ave. resident reported that their mailbox was dug up and removed from their property. Ptl. Jarvis took the report.

12/2/11

-Rumson resident reported receiving a bad check from a Fair Haven resident for the payment of rent. Det. Dykstra took the report.

12/3/11

-Grange Ave. resident reported cast iron urns were removed from their property. Ptl. Hostrup took the report.

12/4/11

-DeNormandie Ave. resident reported that a subject exposed himself to her while she was running. Ptl. Hostrup took the report.

12/5/11

-S.O. Albert arrested a 15 y/o Fair Haven juvenile, Fair Haven, for shoplifting from a River Rd. business.

12/7/11

-Lincoln Ave. resident reported vandalism to her Christmas lights. Ptl. Lagrotteria took the report.

12/9/11

-Bethann Linsky, 43, Hazlet, was arrested by S.O. Murray for being in Contempt of Court. Ms. Linsky was released on bail.

12/10/11

-A Grange Ave. resident reported copper downspouts were removed from his residence. S.O. Murray took the report.

-Highland Ave. resident reported a bicycle stolen from McCarter’s Park on Willow St. S.O. Murray took the report.

-Briarwood Rd. resident reported address sign stolen from their residence. S.O. Albert took the report.

12/11/11

-Hendrickson Ave. resident reported identity theft where unknown subject(s) obtained information and fraudulently removed money from their checking account. S.O. Albert took the report.

12/13/11

-Multiple items were reported stolen from Fair Haven Rd. establishment inclusive of cash, alcohol and electronic devices. Ptl. Lagrotteria took the report.

-Det. Dykstra charged Jonathan Holm, 31, Waretown and Megan Bornemann, 28, Waretown with Receiving Stolen Property subsequent to an investigation where they were found to have removed copper downspouts from a Grange Ave. residence.

12/14/11

-Det. Dykstra charged Brian Miller, 21, Red Bank, with Theft by Deception from two River Rd. businesses as he was found to have passed multiple counterfeit $20 bills to pay for items. US Secret Service and Middletown PD assisted.

-Rustic Terr. resident reported unknown subject(s) broke mirror off of his vehicle. Ptl. Reevey took the report.

12/15/11

-Lamar Hutchinson, 18, Red Bank was arrested by Det. Dykstra and charged with Theft and Theft by Deception subsequent to an investigation involving stolen items sold to a Neptune City ‘Cash It In’. Mr. Hutchinson was released on bail.

-Jon Michael Puryear, 19, Hackensack, was arrested by Det. Dykstra and charged with Burglary and Theft subsequent to a report made on 11/27/11 by a Parker Ave. resident. Mr. Puryear was held at MCCI in lieu of bail.

12/18/11

-Sgt. Lambert arrested a Rumson juvenile and charged him with Possession of CDS and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on River Rd.

12/22/11

-Victor Lastorino, 38, Fair Haven, was arrested on a warrant for issuing a bad check. Ptl. Schnieder made the arrest. Mr. Lastorino was released on bail.

12/23/11

-A River Rd. business reported the Theft of a watch that occurred on 12/23/11. Ptl. Reevey took the report.

12/26/11

-William Crawford, 19, Long Branch, was arrested for being in Contempt of Court. Ptl. Lagrotteria made the arrest. Mr. Crawford was being held at MCCI in lieu of bail.

12/27/11

-A Parker Ave. resident reported a Theft by Deception whereas the victim reported paying for an item that was never received. Det. Dykstra took the report.

A criminal charge represents an accusation; defendants named are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
