Fair Haven Comes Together For National Night Out

Fair Haven residents and police teamed up for a night of community at the 11th annual National Night Out.

The new Knollwood Principal Kevin Davis took the plunge in the dunk tank night Tuesday night during the 11th annual Fair Haven National Night Out.

In addition to the PTA-sponsored dunk tank, there was food, games, MONOC Air Medic Unit helicopter demonstration, inflatable speed pitch radar sponsored by the Fair Haven Fire Department, and an inflatable gaming tent. The Youth Center was full of local Fair Haven businesses offering samples and information.

Fair Haven Police Department were on hand to greet community members and demonstrate equipment. The Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department demonstrated their surveillance tower.

National Night Out is a community crime prevention program that takes place each year on the first Tuesday of August and is designed to help foster a partnership between the community and its police force against crime.
