Details on Fatal Navesink River Road Pedestrian Accident Revealed

Victim was struck in Bank of America parking lot

The identity of the victim of what turned out to be a fatal pedestrian accident bordering Navesink River Road has been revealed.

Janet Ramos-Morales was struck and killed by a vehicle in the parking lot of the Bank of America, at Route 35 and Navesink River Road, at 11:24 a.m. on Monday, according to Middletown police. 

Ramos-Morales was treated at the scene by MONOC paramedics and the Leonardo First Aid Squad. She was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center where she was pronounced dead at 2:20 p.m., police reported.

Police are investigating the incident. Witnesses, or anyone with information is asked to contact officers Cpl. Nick Caprio and Cpl. Cliff O'Hara at 732-615-2045. 

Cpl. Darrin Simon and Sgt. First Class Fred Deickmann are assisting in the investigation.
