Crime Nearby: 'Athletic' Heroin Bust

An area man faces a unique drug possession charge following a traffic stop nearby in Red Bank.
Patrolwoman Heather Publyski pulled over David H. Roe, 26, of Shrewsbury, along North Bridge Avenue at 9:13 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, for a motor vehicle violation. Upon further investigation, Roe was allegedly found with heroin in three wax paper packages stamped "Athletic," according to court documents.
He was remanded to Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $5,000 bail, with an option to post 10 percent of the bond.
