Car Crashes into Fair Haven Consignment Shop

No one was injured in the afternoon crash.

Police are currently investigating a single car accident that took place Monday afternoon on River Road in Fair Haven.

According to the Fair Haven Police Department, the unidentified driver of a four-door sedan apparently drove into the storefront of the All Things Consignment shop at 606 River Road shortly before 2:0op.m.

Though the car received significant damage, the driver of the vehicle was not injured in the wreck, police said. Despite colliding with the store’s front door, no shoppers or pedestrians were injured either.

The cause of the accident is still unknown and is being investigated by Lt. Joseph McGovern. As of Monday evening, police had not issued an explanation about the crash or any summonses to the driver.

In addition to the police department, Fair Haven’s fire department, first aid squad and fire police assisted at the scene.
