Autistic Brookdale Student Missing Since Tuesday Night

Marlboro police have been searching for a missing 19-year-old high-functioning autistic male since late Tuesday night.

Michael Karwan left his parent's home voluntarily after an argument, however police said, he usually comes back after cooling off. Police began the search at 11 p.m. on Tuesday.

He was last seen in the area of School Road West in Marlboro Township. A K-9 search came up empty, and police are continuing the search in an expanded area in the daylight.

Karwan is described as having light skin, brown eyes and black hair. He is a student at Brookdale Community College, last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and green sneakers. He is around 6 feet tall and weighs around 220 pounds.
