Area Man Charged with Sexual Assault of 7-Year-Old
The alleged assault occurred on Christmas day.

An area man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 7-year old girl numerous times on Christmas.
Galdino Zuniga-Garcia, 55, of Long Branch, was charged with aggravated sexual assault and sexual assault for "digitally penetrating" the girl on five different occasions at a home they shared on North Fifth Avenue on Dec. 25.
Zuninga-Garcia was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
He was arrested on Dec. 27 and taken to Monmouth County Correctional Institution, where he is being held in lieu of $600,000 bail with no 10 percent option.
His court date has been set for Jan. 7.
