Police: Cocaine Dealing Bust Nearby

The accused was in a housing authority property when arrested

A local man has been arrested on cocaine dealing and possession charges following a suspcious persons investigation.

Following the suspicious persons report, on April 7 at 10:14 p.m. in Red Bank, police stopped and arrested Prince Johnson, of 80 W. Westside Terrace, after allegedly finding him with cocaine, paraphernalia (a scale), according to a complaint warrant signed by Red Bank Police Patrolman Stanley Balmer.

Johnson was charged with: possession of cocaine; possession with intent to distribute; possession with intent to distribute cocaine within a public housing authority; and possession of drug paraphernalia, specifically an electronic scale, the warrant said.

The scale was deemed drug paraphernalia by police, according to the warrant, because Johnson was found in possession of both the cocaine and the scale, which is commonly used to weigh drugs.
