Area 24-Year-Old Indicted on Attempted Murder Charge, First-Degree
24-year-old allegedly stabbed his roommate
An area man has been indicted on a first-degree attempted murder charge for allegedly stabbing his roommate last September.
Joseph Dickey, 24, of 83 Thousand Oaks Drive, Middletown, faces that charge and other counts after authorities said he stabbed his roommate multiple times at the Thousand Oaks apartment complex on Sept. 18.
Dickey was also indicted on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon, according to the document signed by Acting Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni.

Bail for Dickey was set at $512,500, no ten percent option, by Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Dennis R. O’Brien, J.S.C. He remains in custody at the Monmouth County Correctional Facility, according to inmate records.
