Area 21-Year-Old Arrested on DWI and Related Charges After Accident

Allegedly left the scene of the accident

A young woman from the area was arrested recently on driving while intoxicated and related charges after she allegedly left the scene of an accident in Red Bank.

Gabrielle Weir, 21, of Lincroft, was arrested on Jan. 11 in the area of Riverside Avenue and charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, refusal to submit to a breathalyzer, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident, by Patrolman Stan Balmer, after she allegedly left the scene of an accident, according to a Red Bank police report.

A lot of 21-years-old young people from Middletown seem to be having difficulties with substance abuse. These would have been middle school-aged students the year I was working in the district. They were always so nice and a joy to be with each day. What went wrong, and when?
