Another Car Stolen From Rumson Home

Police say Rumson residents reported a 2009 Mercedes Benz SUV stolen from a home on River Road last week.

“All I can say is residents need to lock their cars and take their keys inside,” said Richard Tobias of the .

This is just another incident added to the list of high-end car thefts in the past 4 months happening in Monmouth, Bergen and Essex Counties, including a handful in . Fair Haven has also had right out of resident driveways.

Tobias could not comment much on the issue, but said they are not investigating the issue alone. “We are working with other agencies within the state,” said Chief Tobias.
