Two area men have been indicted on charges stemming from a February car burglary incident in Rumson.
The men, Stanely T. Adlar IV, 32, of 34 Park Ave., Keansburg, and Gary J. Jorgensen, 30, of 3 Mercury St., Middletown, allegedly broke into a car parked in the parking lot of the Rumson Buy Rite, West River Road, on Feb. 21 and stole a pocketbook, cell phone, iPod, make-up bag and medication valued at approximately $500, the arrest record and indictment said.
The men, upon their arrest, were also allegedly found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, the prescription drug Alprazolam, according to the indictment.

When the initial complaint warrant was filed by Rumson Detective Chris Isherwood, the contents of the purse were valued at $1,275.
Each faces burglary, theft of moveable property and possession of a controlled dangerous substance charges. All are third-degree crimes.

An indictment is not a conviction. The formal charges, handed down by a grand jury, will be answered to in court.
