The charges arose from an investigation conducted by the Middletown Police Department involving a series of residential burglaries in the Navesink River Road area, across the Oceanic Bridge from Rumson, that occurred on March 14 April 1 and April 3 of 2011.

In each incident, entry was made into the homes and a significant amount of jewelry and other personal property was taken.

On April 13, 2011, the Middletown police responded to another report of a burglary and located Tracy in the upstairs bathroom of a residence in the midst of committing the crime. Tracy was arrested and further investigation led to the recovery of some of the stolen property.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutor Sean J. Brennan. Tracy is represented by James Gerrow, Jr., Esq., of Hainesport.
