bear hunt - help stop it
The bear hunt in NJ is taking place Dec 9-14.
The "hunters" are allowed to bait the bears, kill cubs and mothers that have cubs - often leaving orphans that won't know how to survive a winter alone.
One simple thing you can do right now to help stop bear hunting:
1)Call Governor Christie's office at 609-292-6000
2)When they ask how they can direct your call, say you'd like to speak with someone on Gov. Christie's staff.
3) Give your name, and town and tell them that you do not want bear hunting to continue in New Jersey. Ask for non-lethal methods and Bear Smart legislation - such as Senate Bill - S2369
