Sea Bright Resident, James Fitzgerald, Dies at 62

Services begin on Friday

Sea Bright resident James V. Fitzgerald died at 62 at his home on Jan. 12.

Born in Albany, NY, James was raised in Brooklyn, NY before marrying Susan Murray in 1975, then serving in the U.S. Army for four years and launching his career in information technology, according to legacy.com.

He was vice president of IT at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and lived in Sea Bright for the past 14 years.

Jim is predeceased by: his mother, Maureen Butler Fitzgerald.

He is survived by: his father, Thomas J. Fitzgerald; his wife of 38 years, Susan; his children, Jennifer Leonard and husband Michael, Tara Bulfamante and husband Dominick, and James Fitzgerald; his grandchildren, Sydney Leonard, Brooke Leonard, Jake Leonard, Dominick Bulfamante, and Adriana Bulfamante, and his 10 siblings, Theresa, Catherine, Albion, Thomas Jr., Stanley, Maureen Jr., Elizabeth, William, Joseph and Tina.

An avid NY Yankees fan who loved the beach, Jim was a coach for his children's sports teams.

Visitation is set at Keyser Funeral Home, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY on Friday, Jan. 17, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 160 Broadway, Kingston, NY.
