Obituary: Karen Lee Bovenzi, 54, A Longtime Rumson Resident

Karen Lee Bovenzi, 54, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2104, at Newark Beth Israel Hospital. Karen was born in Long Branch. She was a longtime resident of Rumson and just recently moved to Toms River. Karen was a Travel Clerk at Fort Monmouth. She loved her family, bowling, cooking, gardening and her puppies, Buddy and Hollie-Noel.

Karen was predeceased by her parents, Larry and Edie Harrington. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Thomas; her sons, Mike Layton of Atlantic Highlands, Zach Bovenzi and Keith Bovenzi of Toms River. Karen is also survived by her brother, Larry and his wife, Wendy of Rumson, and her mother-in-law, Doris Bovenzi of Toms River; her cousin, Julie Ballard; many other cousins and nieces and nephews.

Visitation was June 30, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at the Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St., Red Bank. Interment was private.
