Memorial for RFH Grad Nikki Mills Rosiak Dowd Slated for Saturday

A victim of an Aberdeen train accident, she died on Sunday, Aug. 4.

Nikki Mills Rosiak Dowd, 40, a Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School graduate who lived in Little Silver, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, as a result of a train accident in Aberdeen.

She created her own business, Lah Dee Da's in Charleston, SC, which combined her love of food, antiques, the arts, people and animals.

A small body with a giant spirit, Nikki touched many lives and will be remembered for her generosity, humor and tenacity. Nikki was a talented athlete and graduated from Rumson Country Day, Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School and Belmont Abbey, where she was a member of Alpha Sigma Pi sorority.

She is survived by: her mother, Pat Mills and partner, Hamilton Shippee, of Little Silver; her sister, Robin, and brother-in-law John Gilbert, and their son, Ellis of Hull, MA; Judy Robinson and her children, Seth Robinson and Sara Barrett; Pam Fillion and her children, Ben and Matt (maternal aunts); her father, Frederic Rosiak, of Highlands; paternal grandmother, Nancy Rosiak; paternal aunt, Nancy Jean Rosiak, both of Westport, MA.

There will be no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 202 Navesink Road, Middletown.

All are welcome at the celebration of her life with a reception at All Saints immediately following. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions are welcome and should be made to Lunch Break Food Pantry, PO Box 2215, Red Bank, NJ 07701.
