Lifetime Rumsonite, Julian Honchar, Dies at 44

Services begin on Thursday.


Lifetime Rumson resident, Julian R. Honchar, passed away at his home in Rumson on Saturday, Dec. 14. He was 44.

Born in Passaic to John and Margaret Honchar, Julian was a lifetime resident of Rumson who was known as an avid fisherman.

He is survived by: his brother, Stephen Honchar and wife Amy and their daughter Lindsay, of Stockton; his aunt, Edwina Arneds; and his two dogs, Molly and Lucky.

A memorial gathering will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, at the funeral home.

Interment will remain private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in Julian's memory to Clean Ocean Action, 18 Hartshorne Drive, Suite 2, Highlands, NJ 07732.
