Former McLoone's Rum Runner Manager Antoinette 'Dolly' Egidio Marino Dies at 90

Antoinette "Dolly" Egidio Marino of Atlantic Highlands died Monday, Jan. 27 at home. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Atlantic Highlands. She was a secretary employed by the Brooks Insurance Agency she left to raise her family and later went back to work as a manager at McLoone's Rum Runner Restaurant in Sea Bright. Mrs. Marino was an active member of St. Agnes Church where she belonged to the Rosary Altar Society and the PTA. 

She was an avid fan of the Giants and had season tickets at both Giants and MetLife Stadiums; She loved to play tennis with her friends and made annual trips with her family to the US Open. She also loved to play the organ.
She loved to travel with her family during the summer even being sure to take the pets along. She also traveled with her Husband and friends to Italy more than a few times. She loved the beach, metal detector hunts and especially spending time with her family. 

Mrs. Marino is predeceased by her Parents Anthony and Rose Egidio, Her Husband Samuel Marino and a sisters Rose Egidio and Mary E Cook; and brothers James Egidio, Nick Egidio and Louis Egidio.

She is survived by her children Diane Marino and Peter Marino; a sister,; nieces Donna Montalbano, Barbara Holstein, Linda Farrell, Roseanne Egidio, Elaine Egidio; nephew Donald Cook, Jr; and grandchildren Lisa, Jessie, Samantha, Alex and Peter, Jr.

Services were handled by John P. Condon Funeral Home in Leonardo.
