John James Toomey, a member of the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School class of 1971, died on Jan. 10, according to an obituary recently published on legacy.com.

Toomey, 62, was a former Fair Haven resident. He was a self-employed landscaper who worked in the Two River area, according to his obituary. Toomey was a 40-year social member of the Fair Haven Volunteer Fire Company and a 37-year honorary member of the Fair Haven First Aid Squad. He also volunteered for over 10 years at Monmouth Medical Center, according to legacy.com.
