Jacquie Lee from NBC’s The Voice receives “Hometown Hero Award” at K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital’s Superhero Soiree

K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital recently hosted its Superhero Soiree event at the Oyster Point Hotel in Red Bank, NJ on Friday, April 4. Local singing sensation Jacquie Lee, from NBC’s television program The Voice, received K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital’s inaugural Hometown Hero Award – a fitting accolade for the 16 year old pop star from Colts Neck, NJ who motivates kids everywhere to follow their dreams. The superhero-themed fundraiser, generously sponsored by Ralph Clayton & Sons and QualCare, Inc., raised $125,000 in support of the children’s hospital, and attracted more than 215 guests.

Inspired also by the everyday heroes at K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital – including kids, families and caregivers – the celebration was a fun evening with a serious mission. Proceeds from the event will support pediatric patient care, as well as the children’s hospital expansion, ensuring that the critical needs of the region’s sickest children are met. The expansion includes an enhanced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with four additional private rooms, an inpatient acute care unit with 14 private rooms, and a 25,000 square foot Pediatric Specialty Care Center that provides specialty pediatric services.

“I am so humbled to receive the Hometown Hero Award. My community has given me so much support over the years, and it means a lot to me to return that support whenever I have the opportunity. It was an honor to take part in an evening that will further enhance the incredible care that K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital delivers to pediatric patients every day”, says Jacquie Lee.
