It may seem impossible to carve out family time. Although it can be challenging, it can be done.

Take some time and be creative! Some of the best times to catch up with family members can be accomplished simply by taking a few minutes in the morning, at a family dinner, driving to soccer practice, at a dance class or at bed time.

Each day, “check in “ with each member of your family and share the highs and lows to reconnect.

Once a week, for an entire afternoon or evening, get your whole family together to relax and UNPLUG with no computer, iPhone or iPad. Although there may be some resistance at first, be insistent – the benefits will be apparent in no time.

Family time is very important to create balance and security when life gets hectic. The same goes for “spouse time” which is essential. as well. Making your loved ones a priority is the foundation to staying connected and in tune with what matters most.
