RFH Boys Lacrosse Earns Fifth Shore Conference Tournament Title

Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School boys lacrosse won its fourth consecutive Shore Conference Tournament title, giving the team a record-setting total of five SCT championships.

As the tournament's top-seeded team, they defeated number two seed Southern with a score of 17-10 on May 13 at Monmouth University.

No other team has won as many championships during the 10-year history of boys lacrosse SCT. The RFH Bulldogs also own the greatest number of consecutive SCT championship wins.

High-scoring seniors included midfielder Chris Hubler (four goals, one assist), midfielder Chris Sutphen (three goals), attackman Dominic Padula (three goals, one assist), and attackman Colin Shea (two goals, two assists). RFH senior goalie Bryce Metzger made ten saves.

"Winning a fourth straight SCT championship is a terrific accomplishment, and I'm very happy that the boys attained one of their goals for the 2014 season," said Head Coach Andy Eastwood. "This team, and especially the seniors, have worked very hard on and off the field to earn their success."
