One year ago, Super Storm Sandy devastated the Jersey Shore. While Fair Haven homeowners avoided the flooding problems that affected neighboring towns, wind damage was substantial in the town. To get an idea of how strong the winds were, take a look at this short video I took at the Fair Haven dock as the storm hit us.
The normally-tranquil Navesink River battered the dock. The sailboat in the background (along with its mooring) had been dragged from about a mile away in Rumson.
