For the 11th year in a row, Fair Haven took part in the “National Night Out” program. Held today behind the police station, this year’s event was from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and featured a close-up tour of all of the parts of one of the Fair Haven Volunteer Fire Department’s fire trucks as well as chance to climb inside a MONOC emergency medical evacuation helicopter.
The “National Night Out” is celebrated on the first Tuesday in August in communities across the United States, and is intended to foster police-community partnerships, crime prevention and neighborhood camaraderie.
