2014 Rumson St. Patrick's Day Parade

It was a great day not only for the Irish, but for everyone who marched or viewed today's Rumson St. Patrick's Day Parade. This year's parade, just the 2nd one ever, laster for nearly 90 minutes. Led by a color guard and Grand Marshall General Pete Dawkins, we had lots of pipes & drums, other bands, Irish dacers, floats, military veterans, fire departments, the RFH Bulldogs track & field team, the Rumson EMS, an equestrian unit, floats and marchers representing many local groups and businesses.

Lots of enthusiastic spectators lined the parade route from Victory Park to the Municipal Building. It was heartwarming to see and hear everyone clapping when the color guard, Pete Dawkins, Vietnam War veterans and other military personnel marched past. You didn't have to be a kid to enjoy the green baloons distributed by the Rumson office of Diane Turton Realtors, or the green necklaces and candy thrown from several of the floats.

Here are two videos and 15 photos from today's parade.
