Registration Open for 'Kids Triathlon for Bob Kelleher' July 2 in Rumson

Proceeds from the event go to Rumson Recreation and EMS, two of Kelleher's favorite organizations.

Kids from all over New Jersey will participate in the 4th Annual Kids Triathlon for Bob Kelleher.  The run, bike and swim is held in honor of Bob Kelleher, an avid triathlete who passed away in 2009. It will begin at 7:45 am on Sunday, June 2nd at Victory Park, Rumson.

Kids ages 9-14 will do a 150 yard swim, 4 mile bike ride and 1 mile run while kids ages 8 and under will do a 75 yard swim, 2 mile bike ride and 1/2 mile run.  All participants will receive a medal upon finishing the race.

Kelleher's wife, Denise, is the organizer of the race.  "All the kids have a great time competing.  For many of them this will be their fourth year," said Denise Kelleher.
