Rockin' By The River with the Cristine Meredith Miele Foundation

The first annual fundraiser for the Cristine Meredith Miele Foundation (CMMF) was held at the Rumson Country Club Pool House on June 9th.

The Cristine Meredith Miele Foundation (CMMF) raised over $10,000 at its first annual fundraiser, Rockin’ By The River.

Guests enjoyed beautiful views of the Shrewsbury River and danced the night away to music by The River Road Band at the pool house this past Saturday night.

Money raised at the event will go toward funding an integral piece of a gene discovery project conducted by Memorial Sloan Kettering in conjunction with Harvard’s Broad Institute and M.I.T.  The project’s aim is to identify new genetic causes of breast cancer and other cancers.

CMMF was founded in memory of Cristine “Crissy” Meredith Miele, a life long resident of Rumson, who lost her battle with cancer two years ago at the age of 41.  The foundation dedicates its resources to risk assessment and early detection of breast cancer.
