RUMSON – Hope for Children Foundation (HFCF) of New Jersey will be the beneficiary of Salt Creek Grille’s Annual Anniversary Wine & Martini Fundraiser, the popular Rumson establishment recently announced.  The event, one of the most popular and exclusive fundraisers in Monmouth County, will be held on April 10th at 7pm with proceeds to benefit HFCF’s mission of making a difference in the lives of Monmouth County children and their families.

Salt Creek Grille Managing Partner Steve Bidgood began the Annual Wine & Martini Fundraiser to mark the restaurant’s 5th anniversary over a decade ago, and has since contributed more than $600,000 for local children’s charities. Through the generosity of Salt Creek Grille and its purveyors, 100% of the proceeds generated through the Wine & Martini Fundraiser will be donated to HFCF. Bidgood is excited to be working with HFCF for this year’s fundraiser.

“We firmly believe that the best way to invest in our future is by investing in our children,” Bidgood explained. “We thank our community for helping us make our Annual Wine & Martini Fundraiser one of the most successful events in our area.”

The popularity of this event stems from the first-class spirits, food and entertainment that guests enjoy annually. Six wine vendors will be on hand pouring numerous varietals of premier wines, while spirits vendors will be shaking specialty martinis. Salt Creek Grille will be providing numerous offerings from its award-winning menu, including hot and cold hors d’oeuvres in addition to carving and pasta stations. Local seafood vendor The Lusty Lobster will be donating a wide variety of raw bar options and Sickles Market is providing artisanal cheeses. One of the area’s most respected jazz groups, The Bobby Boyd Trio, will be playing throughout the fundraiser.

“It means so much to HFCF to be chosen by Steve Bidgood to be Salt Creek’s charity for 2014,” said Eric Hinds, president and co-founder of HFCF. “We have worked very hard over the past 10 years to become recognized within the community as an organization that is proven to be a viable resource for children in need. We are looking forward to a great night of food and entertainment at one of the area’s finest restaurants.”

Tickets to the event, to be held in Salt Creek Grille’s private dining room, are $150 each and sponsorships are also available. HFCF will also be holding a cash raffle, with only 1,000 tickets available and a top prize of $12,500. Raffle tickets are $50 each.

“Steve Bidgood’s commitment to the community makes him a true role model for philanthropy, and we are honored that Steve has been impressed with what HFCF has been able to accomplish,” said Karen Hinds, HFCF treasurer. “We are excited to partner with Salt Creek Grille to help the children of the community and equally excited to attend the Wine & Martini Fundraiser. It will be a great night!”

Tickets, sponsorship and raffle tickets are available by contacting Hope for Children Foundation at (732) 687-8317, or by logging on to www.hfcf.org. According to Bidgood, you should not hesitate to call.

“This is Monmouth County’s most popular fundraiser so get your tickets today!”

The award-winning Salt Creek Grille serves classic American Mesquite grill-fare in an upscale, casual setting with spectacular waterfront views of the Navesink River. Open daily for dinner, Salt Creek Grille boasts a Wine Spectator Award-Winning wine list and full bar. Salt Creek Grille’s totally renovated private dining room provides breath-taking floor-to-ceiling river views and can accommodate between 20-150 guests.

HFCF is an all-volunteer 501 (c)(3) charitable organization consisting of young professionals, entrepreneurs and parents in Monmouth County working together to raise funds to make a difference in the lives of children and their families. HFCF was started 10 years ago with the simple goal of “getting together with family, friends and colleagues to make a difference in the community.” On an annual basis, HFCF identifies charitable organizations and individuals that will benefit from monies raised from various fundraisers. To date, HFCF has donated close to $2 million to local charities and families in need of assistance.
