RFH Girls Soccer Scores in Game & Charity

The Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) girls' soccer team has enjoyed both altruistic and on-the-field wins lately.

While holding a 14-7-1 record and scoring their first NJSIAA Central Group title since 2008, defeating Delran High School 3-1 on Thursday, the girls also offered some help at Habitat for Humanity's Long Branch warehouse on Nov. 8, according to a release.

There they spent two hours trying to streamline the process of finding the right  rebuild and restore items easier for Hurricane Sandy victims.

"I am so proud of my players for dedicating their time and effort to this project," RFH Varsity Soccer Head Coach Mary Beth Coleman said in a released statement. "This group works just as hard to assist others as they do when they are on the soccer field."

As for the soccer win, junior forward Janie DeVito scored the first goal for RFH near the middle of the first half in the NJSIAA Group II matchup against Delran. Senior midfield player Schuyler DeBree then added two goals — one late in the first half and the other early in the second half, to clinch a decisive victory.

The RFH team will face West Deptford in the Group II semifinals at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19. The game will be held at St. Augustine College Preparatory School in Richland, New Jersey.

The RFH girls' varsity soccer players are: Schuyler DeBree, Allie Cuje, Janie DeVito, Anna Finn, Caitlin Griffith, Kaitlyn Hess, Meagan McGurl, Lindsay McKean, Olivia Rosenberg, Michaela Borneo, Lindsey Corydon, Allie Geiger, Emma Gill, Caroline Kostecky, Jacqueline Littleson, Morgan Mulligan, Samantha Beaudreault, Catie Clark, Grace Forsyth, and Hanna LoSavio.
