"Mud Patterns and other abstractions" (an artists journey of healing after Sandy)

This exhibit will feature, along with my photographic nature abstractions, my never before shown 'Mud Pattern" series. These photos were taken the first few days after Sandy tore through my hometown. The river and ocean left extensive damage that we are still recovering from...and amazing and mystifying patterns in the thick mud throughout my childhood home in Monmouth Beach, NJ.

I was heart-broken and struggling to find some beauty amid all the destruction, all the loss my family was experiencing. These patterns called to me and helped me heal in some small way. "There is beauty everywhere, if you look" .
