Fair Haven PTA Holiday House Tour

The Fair Haven PTA will host their biennial House Tour on Friday, December 14, 2012, from 10:30am to 2:30pm.  This event is one of the key fundraisers for the Fair Haven School District and draws approximately 300 community members each year.

The 2012 holiday tour features eight distinctive Fair Haven homes, including an updated 1870 house in our historic district; a renovated cape cod style home with a shore feel; an eclectic house built in 1890 on the beautiful Navesink River; a Builder’s modern dream home; a beautiful modular home with charming front porch;  and more.

Each home will be decorated for the holidays with fabulous table tops and floral arrangements sure to inspire.  Tour goers will sample some of the best local fare from popular chefs, including David Burke’s Fromagerie (Rumson), Lusty Lobster (Highlands), Pop’s Garage (Shrewsbury), Woody’s (Sea Bright), Cups and Cakes (Rumson), and local favorites Tavolo Pronto, Gourmet Picnic and Taste and Technique.

Two special raffle prizes will be offered.  The Grand Prize is $3000 worth of Landscaping donated by Sycamore Landscaping.  The First Prize features dinner for ten prepared in the winner’s home or other local home of their choice, by Chef Hernan Garces of the Raven Tea Room.  The dinner includes beverages, flowers, dessert, and service to help the host and hostess relax.  Tickets for these two great prizes are $10 each.

FAIR HAVEN’S FIRST FLOORS has several generous sponsors to help make this event possible, including Sycamore Landscaping, Merrick Builders, Heritage House/Sotheby’s, and Better Housekeeping.
