Dead Beat Poets Society – William Carlos Williams
“If it ain’t a pleasure, it ain’t a poem.” This is a quote by
American poet and Jersey’s own, William Carlos Williams. He was born and died
in Rutherford, New Jersey. Williams was not only a poet, but a practicing
medical doctor. Although best known for his poem, “Paterson,” the Dead Beat
Poet Society will explore other works by Williams Carlos Williams and talk
about his association with modernism and imagism.
