Sycamore Ave. Intersection to be Closed Up to 2 Weeks for Repairs Starting July 7

NJ Transit announced Tuesday that the intersection in Little Silver will be closed to accommodate work on the Sycamore Avenue grade crossing.

Just when you thought the worst traffic scenario you might encounter while driving through Little Silver back to Rumson and Fair Haven was getting caught by two trains stopping at the station simultaneously, there's a new wrinkle about to be added to rush hour back ups this summer.

NJ Transit announced Tuesday that a major intersection will be closed for up to two weeks for repairs to a railroad crossing grade.

Beginning July 7, Sycamore Avenue will be closed to traffic at the Little Silver Station for the work, which includes renewal of the track bed and road surface. The project will result in a smoother ride for motorists traveling over the crossing, according to a release.
