Sea Bright Fireworks Bring Back Memories and Create New Ones

Sea Bright beach-goers enjoyed the fireworks and the company of friends and family.

Despite the hard-to-bare humidity and jellyfish in the ocean, Sea Bright was full of enthusiastic beachgoers looking forward to Sea Bright’s annual fireworks on July 4.

Spectators cheered as the first boom of the fireworks show went off, and suddenly the bustling beach calmed down as people sat back in their beach chairs and enjoyed the show.

The fireworks began at about 9:15pm at Anchorage, a publically accessed beach, and lasted just under 20 minutes. At Chapel Beach club the ambiance was patriotic as could be with a symphony band playing up on the deck of the beach club.

Over at Sea Bright public beach, teenagers, many Rumson Fair-Haven Regional High School (RFH) goers, gathered and reunited with each other after the first few weeks of summer.

Eighteen year old Stephanie Russo, an RFH graduate said, “The environment was brimming with energy and the fireworks brought upon positive energy that everyone fed off of.”

Watching the fireworks overhead was an incomparable experience for some people, while others were more entertained by the other festivities of the night.

The members of Sea Bright Beach Club, the beach club right next to Anchorage, were right below the fireworks, and members sat in awe as they went off above them.

Chuck Quackenbush, 75, and a member at Sea Bright Beach Club said, “You’re right under the fireworks so looking up and seeing them is really unbelievable.”

Others enjoyed the company of their friends and family, and were less caught up with the fireworks show.

Analisa Noglows, a senior at RFH was at Ship Ahoy beach club when the fireworks show began. “The fireworks were fun, but the best part about it was watching them together with friends. We all had a great time,” she said.

Whether spectators were enjoying the spectacle of the fireworks, or simply the company of their friends, the Fourth of July was a festive and fun day for all in Sea Bright.

Stephanie Russo phrased the experience which the Sea Bright fireworks created perfectly: “The fireworks create new memories and remind me of treasured ones,” she said.
