R-FH Retro Prom: Show Us Your Pics!

The prom ship was one that didn't sail this year.

There was an issue with the Cornucopia — the boat on which the event was held. But, students were told at graduation, the memories, cruise or not, are forever.

Yes. Memories of prom are pretty permanent. So, in honor of memories that linger and ships that sail, Patch is featuring retro prom pics ... from this year's prom gone by and back ... way back!

If I did it, you can, too! Hint: In my prom pic featured above, it was a disco kind of year and Saturday Night Fever was very hot. R-FH's senior lounge was decorated in a Hawiian motif (never could figure that one out) with, of course, a disco ball in the dance room. Go figure.

It was the "in" thing to wear dresses that looked like wedding dresses. No idea why. Gunne Sax dresses are fashion statements no one these days has heard of, much less grasped. Yeah, it was a brand — basically a faux designer label of the times.
