• Yesterday both towns hosted great community ceremonies and parades. It was a bit hot; but, otherwise, a great day for marching and memorializing. And, no, it’s not too late — never too late for a glimpse into the community coming together.

• If you’ve been wondering what happened to , well, we have the scoop. A new place has opened in the spot and we chatted with the owner, chief cook and bottle washer. That story will be on the site this afternoon.

• Rumson Police Chief Richard Tobias had told us he had some news about a crack-down on teen drinking. We plan to try and meet with him on that this week.

• For this week’s What’s Cookin’? column, we will be venturing into an area eatery to hone in on a special menu item and its creation. You never know what we’ll discover. Last week, as we ventured out to find out what was popular on the menu at , we found out it was not only the place’s roasted turkey, but none other than , everyone’s favorite ballroom dance teacher.
