Newman Springs Road Bridge Construction Starts

Roadwork will reduce bridge to two lanes

Construction on the Newman Spring Road bridge, which connects Red Bank and Tinton Falls, began Monday.

The four-lane road will be reduced to two lanes, one westbound and one eastbound, a message on the Tinton Falls Web site says.

"This will be a 24-hour lane shift and will last till the end of November 2013," the message states. "The project is being performed by the Monmouth County Engineers Office."
