Huddle Shelter Open at Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School

Shelter available for anyone who needs to leave there homes due to Hurricane Irene.

If you need to leave your home now or during the storm, head to the local high school.

There is a shelter now open at l (RFH) for anyone displaced due to . 

"We now have a 'Huddle Shelter' open in the auditorium of the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School for anyone who needs to leave their home and has no where else to stay," said Tom Rogers, the Rumson Borough Administrator.

The shelter is open for any who needs it due to the storm which is making its way up the east coast. The shelter will be available now and throughout the storm.

According to Rogers, the shelter is being manned by Rumson EMS, volunteers and sheriff’s officers. "Our staff of Employees and Volunteers are mobilized and are awaiting the arrival of Irene," he said.

Amy Clark, a Rumson resident, said that as of 8:00 p.m. on Saturday night the parking lot on the auditorium side of the high school is already full.

RFH is located at 74 Ridge Hill Road.
