Why you should go: If you are looking to celebrate Women’s History month view this full-length collection by Central Jersey resident Suzann Brucato. Brucato created a photo journal as a tribute to motherhood, family and heritage. The collegection of poems and photographs shows a journey of women through the eyes of children, spouses, parents and grandparents.
What it costs: Free

Where and when: The Eastern Branch Library on Sunday, March 4 between the hours of 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Why you should go: Learn how to transform boring cakes into exciting cake masterpieces. Teens are invited to learn how to cover cake with fondant.

Where and when: Red Bank Armory beginning on Friday at 8 p.m. and at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.
Why you should go: There may not be much snow on the ground but there is plenty of ice at Red Bank Armory. Lace up your skates and hit the ice for a public skate session at the Armory. No experience required!
What it costs: Admission is $9 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under. Bring your own skates or rent your choice of hockey or figure skates for $4.
Where and when: The Middletown Township Public library on Saturday, March 3.
Why you should go: Lenny the Leprechaun and Robbie the Robot will be at the Middletown Township Public Library to host a special Saturday School-Age Craft Program at the main branch. Crafters will have the chance to use simple coloring and construction to make a three-dimensional cardboard friend.
What it costs: Free. Registration is required and be completed online at the library's website calendar, www.mtpl.org, or by calling 732-671-3700 extension 340.
