It’s a tradition. Tonight’s annual night of holiday fun and festivity in Fair Haven kicks off the hometown season to be jolly with a gala from Memorial Park to throughout the business district.
It all starts at 4 p.m. when businesses begin to welcome all with an annual open house along River Road, featuring Fair Haven’s signature small businesses serving up some hospitality, refreshments and unique holiday gifts and sales throughout.
And, tonight the business district will stay open until 9 p.m. to commemorate the occasion and mark the start of later hours for the season.
Then, at Memorial Park, at the corner of Fair Haven and River roads, Santa Claus will be coming to town and the borough’s tree will be lit.
The Fair Haven Volunteer Fire Company will make its appearance, sirens blaring and lights blazing to set the festive pace. And, there will be entertainment by local bands and featured performances.
The traditional eve promises to be a night of celebration and festivity in Fair Haven.
