5 Things You Need to Know Today: Sept. 8

There will be an east wind throughout the day and into the night between 8 and 11 mph. Showers and thunderstorms are likely throughout the day with some of the storms producing heavy rainfall. Tonight, the storms will continue with cloudy skies and a low around 68 degrees.

2. School Safety Tips: After a couple months of summer, the busses are back on the roads, kids are walking down the street with their back packs and school has . This extra car and foot traffic means that residents need to take certain precautions for their safety.
