1. Sunshine, Daydream: According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly sunny with a high near 78 degrees and a west wind around 8 mph. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low around 63 degrees. There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm. There will be a west wind between 6 and 8 mph.

2. Never Forget: Community members met at on Sunday, September 11 to remember those lost in the tragedy of 9/11. Deacon Kelly from the and Reverend Johnson from both spoke and gave blessings. Mayor Michael Halfacre shared his personal experience with loosing his cousin, , in 9/11 and some other residents shared their experiences with that day as well. 3. Playing in Memory: Parents and several dozen children came out late afternoon on Sunday, Septeber 11 for the official dedication of a new playground at the school at 50 Black Point Road, as well as a bronze plaque honoring local contributors and the . The foundation was formed in honor of Keith D. McHeffey, who perished at age 31 in the attack on the World Trade Center. McHeffey grew up in Fair Haven and Rumson, and attended Rumson schools his entire life. Click to see photos from the playground.

4. Talking About 9/11: Talking to young children about September 11 can be difficult. The head of Ranney's lower school offered age appropriate guidance for putting the events of 10 years ago into perspective for children. 5.  Protecting Trees: There will be a public hearing at the Rumson Planning Board Meeting tonight at 7:30 for the appeal of actions of town officials that led to the "" of 35 Navesink Avenue. Residents say there was a violation to the town’s Tree Protection Ordinance. The continuation was needed because the developer, Petcon, did not show up for the original meeting. The meeting will be at the court room at .
