1. Sunny Skies: According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly sunny with a high near 77 degrees. There will be a south wind between 3 and 10 mph. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low around 64 degrees and an east wind between 5 and 8 mph. 

2. Newbie in Town: The newly appointed Rumson Superintendent Maryrose Caulfield-Sloan is no stranger to education and is now prepared to share her wealth of knowledge with the school district. The Rumson Board of Education approved the contract and appointment of Caulfield-Sloan on Aug. 31 to fill the shoes of the interim Superintendent Bert Ammerman. 3. Spoiled Rotten: Monmouth County Health Department inspectors have been busy visiting restaurants and grocery stores that lost power or sustained damage during Hurricane Irene, according to Monmouth County Public Health Coordinator Michael Meddis.
